Guest guest
Totally unrelated, just noticed Ava was born one day before Aidan (8/5/04 2:15PM). I wish we were in our shoes. We're in two wk healing casts from his blisters from our first time in shoes. Friday we try again. I'm panicked. I just want to get over this shoe hump. redskline123@...> wrote: Wow! I was just catching up on this weekend's posts and WOW! & Kailyn's message from S.A. was so nice! And new parents who need help--you guys were great! I just love reading everybody's posts offering support & encouragement. I'm right away thinking " OK, what can I say " but by the time I read all of the replies, there's nothing left to say! I don't mean that in a bad way--I mean everyone is so supportive there's nothing that needs to be added! Well, actually the one thing I can add... In deciding between traditional vs. Ponseti, the one thing that really got to me was someone saying if you go the Ponseti route & it doesn't work, you can always opt for surgery. But if you go the traditional surgical route first, you can't go backwards & try Ponseti later. The Ponseti method can't hurt your baby, it will only help! The same can't be said of traditional methods, as many moms here can vouch for! For me, Ava is 4 mos. now, and her foot is perfect! The DBB 23/7 is a pain, but I count down the days, and I know it's not forever! In the meantime, you just make the best of it, and have the satisfaction of having done at least ONE thing *right* as a parent! , mommy of: Guinevere, on, Ava 8/4/04 right CF DBB 23/

Guest guest
, So I was relaxing comfortably in the hosp while you were screaming away...what a sweet thought! :-) I understand how you feel, I was just saying yesterday to DH that it feels like she's been in the shoes forever, but it's only been a little over 3 wks. I can't imagine having to get more casts & start 23/7 all over again. But I'm sure it will work out fine this time! Don't worry about it! > Wow!
