Guest guest
Lee, Congrats! I totally know the shocked feeling you are going through. Although as WLS post ops we have a few extra things to focus on while pregnant there have been many, many healthy babies born to post ops so you really don't have much to worry about. Try to find a OB that knows about WLS and that may make things a bit easier, but otherwise enjoy this wonderful experience! Axelrod In Shock!!! I can not believe I am posting here..... I took a early pregnancy test a few hours ago.... Positive.... I haven't been feeling very well and thought I would just take a quick test before setting up an appointment with my doctor. I didn't really think I was pregnant. I thought I would mark that one off my list so that the doctor could look at other reasons for the way I have been feeling... Someone please tell me that everything will be okay having a baby following WLS. I am very worried... Lee 250/145 RNY 6/4/
Guest guest
Lee Congratulations. You should be fine just eat as much as you can. I think I remember you from the other OSSG list, I live in San Angelo Tx. Was that you? I had RNY 12/03 and am pregnant with TWINS (yikes) and doing very well so far. I've had no morning sickness. I am 16 wks and have ultrasound this Thurs(Dr Sutliff) and am hoping they can tell the sexes. Might be too soon though. Well if you have any questions or concerns just email. The ladies on this list are very helpful. RNY 12-09-03 lost 120 lbs still 30 from goal Due date May 23 with TWINS In Shock!!! I can not believe I am posting here..... Guest guest
Well, you've come to the right place! First of all, congratulations! Try not to be too worried. I had my WLS on 6/12/02 and got pregnant at 4.5 months post op. I continued to lose weight throughout the pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy baby boy on June 20, 2003. He is doing terrific! Just be sure to havea a good OBGYN with an understanding of WLS if possible, and take those vitamins! Good luck and keep us posted! > I can not believe I am posting here..... > > I took a early pregnancy test a few hours ago.... Positive....
