Guest guest
My OBGYN really didn't ever seem concerned about my weight loss or about nutrition during my entire pregnancy. I'm 9 days from my due date (tick-tock) and have lost a total of about 100# since conception which CERTAINLY has not effected the baby's growth. The ultrasound shows a very active 8# baby boy and my tummy has always measure big (except today's measurement was a little small). Make certain your doc monitors you closely, but based on my experience, there hasn't been a whole lot to 'worry' about. Guest guest
My doc hasn't monitored me that close even...I've had 6 u/s and no NSTs. He feels comfortable about the baby's development. He certainly hasn't suffered from what the ultrasounds have revealed. I had severe M/S in the beginning and the baby thrived even then. Try not to worry unless the doc gives you reason to worry! Guest guest
Well, I should say that I am monitored more closely as I have Epilepsy. Also, my first child was stillborn at 36 weeks gestation, following a car accident. So, I am extra careful and kind of neurotic because of what I have been thru. But, my Epilepsy makes me highrisk. Also, I suffered from Hyperemesis (severe morning sickness) the entire 9 months in both of my pregnancies, so I have some other issues. I think what we are both trying to say is, worrying is not worth it unless there is a reason. Try and enjoy your pregnancy, it goes by so fast.
