Guest guest
Hi, Just wanted to chime in from a " been there, done that " perspective... " Please keep in mind that when the foot is first corrected and the shoes are put on, THE HEEL IS EMPTY, ie not formed. when Zoe first got her shoes and her clubfoot shoe came off dozens of times a day, I thought I would go insane. After a period of time, the amount of times the shoe came off decreased until one day I realized the shoe hadn't come off at all that day. THEN I found this list and found out about the empty heel and that the shoe helps the heel to form properly. Of course, this is assuming the foot is properly corrected to begin with... " Back then " we didn't have the 0000 size shoe. Luckily Zoe was on the " older " side when she started treatment at 6 weeks old. I'm sure if her foot were smaller it would've been worse. We never did get to try the new style of shoe... Hope this helps... Hang in there.
