Guest guest
Dear Laurie, It is too bad that no regimen has been foolproof for migraine-control for your son. I think it is a very complicated illness to manage, and I certainly wish him well. When my children were little, I tried Fiorinal, one of the ergot-derived meds that was designed to stop a migraine at an early stage. As I remember, it was touted as the first real advance for migraine relief. It is derived from a fungus that grows on the rye plant, and is related to hallucenogenics in molecular structure. It did not work for me, and even made me feel worse--kind of " out of it, " and weird, which was not a pleasant experience. Of all of the medical problems I have had, migraine is the one I would get rid of if there were a genie who would grant me just one wish. That's an interesting question actually. Listmates, if your genie would let you remove just one symptom, just one medical problem, from the mito picture, which would you choose to have disappear? Poof: gone! I'd like to hear your choices. Everyone, take care. Sincerely, S.
