Guest guest
Chrystal, My surgeon wants me to go to the nutritionist but I told him that I could tell her everything that she is going to say to me and save the money since my insurance will not pay for it because they say I am physically healthy and do not need one. I know that we need to take our vitamins and get in enough proteins so why bother going to someone who doesn't know what I am going through to tell me what to do. I think we learned alot when we had to go to them before and after surgery. Good for you for telling her how you felt. Best wishes!! She kept saying that I shouldn't be dieting while I'm pregnant...which I am not doing. Then she kept telling me I need more calcium - dairy dairy dairy. My reply is I am lactose intolerant I cannot do that and the lactaid tablets don't work. I took about all I could and then told her I was tired of educating her about gastric bypass and the gastric bypass patient. I told her its not abnormal for us to lose weight. I told her I would see the nutritionist associated with my WLS doctor and I would not need to see her again.
