Guest guest
I took Sudafed with my daughter and my Doc said that it was ok this pg. I talked with the Pharmacist and she said that there is certain things to take during the 1st, different in the 2nd and very different in the 3rd trimester. She did say that Robitussin, only the main one you can take. Can NOT take Tylenol Allergy or Sinus. That is what I always took before being pg. Hope this helps a little. But I would definitly talk to the pharmacist when you are there. This lady pulled out a book and everything to make sure she was right. Guest guest
Thanks Tricia!! I don't feel like the Robitussin is helping me, but maybe I should give it a couple more days since I have only taken it two days. It only helps for like the first hour or so, then I feel like I am back to bad coughing and hacking. > I took Sudafed with my daughter and my Doc said that it was ok this pg. Guest guest
Shayla, I've been miserable with a cold that has lasted 11 days, and I'm going to need some valium soon. My physician's list included sudafed, ANY robitussin, actifed, chloraseptic, tylenol, and vitamin C. I would go on, but I'm having a coughing fit... good luck!! em

Guest guest
Thanks and Tricia!! *-) I had forgot that the doc said I could take Chloraseptic. I might use that next for the scratchy throat. I just can't take it ANYMORE!!! I will be SO glad when this cold goes away. Guest guest
I forgot to mention, my doctor's list did mention to take sparingly until 10 weeks, but I would say go ahead and do what you can to be comfortable. You have to remember, people do all sorts of things sometimes before they realize they're pregnant!! As for me, I'm resorting to prayer to get better. I believe it's my only hope... else they're going to have to put me away. I've coughed enough my whole torso aches. I haven't gone through all this to lose this baby to a stupid cold now!! > Shayla, > > I've been miserable with a cold that has lasted 11 days, and I'm > going to need some valium soon. > > My physician's list included sudafed, ANY robitussin, actifed, > chloraseptic, tylenol, and vitamin C. > > I would go on, but I'm having a coughing fit... good luck!! > em
Guest guest
Here's an update... went to my family doctor this morning, and he was kind enough to give me prometh with codeine and an antibiotic. Luckily, this morning I began blowing bright yellow stuff out of my nose this morning. I say luckily, because at least if there's yellow stuff, then perhaps an antibiotic will be good. I was thrilled to get the good cough syrup, and slept for 3 hours this afternoon!! My sides are still too sore to do any serious coughing, but at least there's progress... *sigh* Everybody with colds, I think there's plenty of sympathy out there!!
