Guest guest
AAHhhhhh (sigh of relief) It's OVER!!! YAY!!! I do think my hair looked great that day, I wish I could make it look that good all the time :-( I sounded like a hick though!! They really threw away my old stuff, they said I could keep it, but most of it was a little young looking and after seeing myself in it....well like I said, " it looks okay, unless you are looking from the rear! " I guess my backside doesn't look as good as it used to (when I was 18)! :-P Kaitlin was a little doll baby though, wasn't she. So beautiful! compared himself to Barney Fife.... I thought he looked cute as long as he wasn't making fun of me. As for the brown dress outfit, I am sure you all can see why I left it there...UCK. Looked like I jumped out of the Nutcracker for sure....not nice at all....only expensive. As for the $1000.00 or so I spent the first day...that outfit was the majority of the money. As for the red dress on the 2nd day...it didn't fit :-(, I actually liked that one. most things were like that....it sucks to be 5 " 1' with D sized babyfeeders :-( The bra plug....COMPLETELY FAKE, NEVER BOUGHT IT, NEVER TRIED IT ON, IT DIDN " T COME IN MY SIZE!! (Life Unscripted...whatever!) Oh, well. It's over and I am HAPPY about that!! The neatest thing is to have a trip like that videoed...like I will never forget, I didn't realize how much I had forgotten already and I really liked the way they tried to keep the show positive...that will definently help my bad memories to fade...distance (time) makes the heart grow fonder, right? Guest guest
This is so true, I wear my pajamas everyday. The only time I try to look nice is if my dh is with me, or if I go out by myself. What's the point, when you'll end up with something all over you anyway(vomit). I think you looked nice. I still try to wear some of my old clothes too. My dh says I am either boring or tooooo extreme. It's hard being in your 20's(27). I still remember high school like it was yesterday. We are moms now but we don't have to be homey either. The haircut was very nice. I HATED that they made it look like they were coming to your rescue when you got really upset. I really don't know any stay at home moms, let alone nursing moms, that would dress like that. I couldn't imagine going to the grocery store in those $350 shoes and those boots would be miserable while pushing a stroller!!! You were a trooper though!! Your hair looks incredible too by the way!! Hope you get your money's worth out of that stuff on Ebay!! I just don't have time for it...why spend 1 hour getting all dressed up just to be around a baby all day? She loves me just the way I am! Guest guest
Hi ! Your personality is very cute. I liked the way you 'tried' to explain to them why you didn't like something. You explained things in a very innocent, kind voice. I would have been more aggressive. The hostess is a total b_____. I thought Clinton seemed okay. You will have to tell me more about them. I also thought you were hard on yourself. Some of the outfits you tried on that you thought didn't look good, I thought looked very flattering. We are all our own worst critic. But the most important thing, which I think you drove home to them very well, was is it comfortable? I work full time so I love most of those clothes you tried on! However, when I am at home, its sweats all the time. I am not getting dressed up to be spit-up on, run to the store, etc. Also, the whole thing about trying to make you look older? Excuse me? Don't we ALL want to look as young as possible? I didn't think you looked 14, like they said. And if you do, god bless you. I want to look 14! I'll even take the 20's! I agree with everyone else, I loved what they did with your hair! Go get them girl!! By the way, is DH happy with the results? Your daughter is adorable!!! I stared at her feet everytime they showed her. I couldn't help it. Shook Retail Operations Manager/Baking Instructor Vie de France Yamazaki, Inc. 2070 Chain Bridge Rd. Everyone has always said I am soft-spoken (volume wise) but I never realized exactly how I sound until I watched the show. People have always described me as " cute and innocent. " I think that is why the people from WNTW were so shocked when I went off. I am not always as nice as I seem. As for looking older, it's true, I do look young. Coupled with the way I talk, I appear especially young. When telemarketers call they ask for my mom or dad. I don't look any older now though, unless I am decked out with makeup and stuff. It was the same as before though. At work, patients always ask me how old I am and call me " little girl. " I guess to someone in their 70's I do luck extra young. I am used to it and it doesn't really bother me much. Maybe I was hard on myself, but I didn't feel comfortable in the clothes, so I knew I wouldn't wear them. They couldn't get that through their thick heads... I do wear the green cashmere sweater sometimes though. Never the boots or the cord skirt or brown jacket. I do wear the gray pants with a pink shirt and flip flops...not the brown jacket. I am just a casual type person and I guess I always will be, appearences don't matter to me that much. Maybe that's why I had such a problem on the show. They would be like " its by Marc s! " I would be like " Who cares, its ugly. " Other than going to work (wear I get to wear scubs, and I think that is a big perk of the job), I don't go anywhere without Kaitlin. My hubby and I have only had 1 night without her since her birth and I have only been in my house without her once for 20 minutes and then I was waiting on her to get home. I don't know if all people are like that, but I am VERY attached to Kaitlin. She is my world and if I can't be comfortable wearing something around her, I don't want it. Maybe that's weird, they sure seemed to think so. is fine with the results, I guess. He liked my hair better long..he loves long hair. He doesn't care much about the clothes. I think he was just tired of hearing me say, " I don't have anything to wear that fits. " I don't know if anyone noticed, but he doesn't dress much better than I do. LOL. made fun of him like crazy.. He was like " I wish that B would shut the F up " Once she was knealing down and had her butt crack showing out of the top of her pants. kindly informed her of that...in front of everyone around. You should have seen her face. I wish I had a camera. LOL! LOL! He was thrilled to pay her back for the remarks she made about him in front of everyone. I thought it was very funny. Just goes to show, that as perfect as she acts, she isn't. We are all human! But not all of us have hairdressers, stylists, endless money and makeup artists at our beck and call. As for Kaitlin's feet. Someone mentioned that they did not look corrected. They are and were. I took her to the doctor the week before we left just to double check. She sometimes turns her feet in, but she does that with her non-clubfoot as well. It has to do with the strength of the inner muscles compared to the outer muscles. She stands now (she didn't then) and sometimes she stands on her toes, but once again, she does that with both feet. I think we are lucky that she only has one clubfoot, because then I can compare it to the non clubfoot. I would probably be on the phone with Dr. Frick a whole lot more, if I couldn't compare the 2. Once I even questioned the doctor if both feet were clubbed and they just didn't notice the 2nd one because it was so mild compared to her left foot. Needless to say, I was wrong about that! Sorry this is so long. Seems like there are so many questions to answer. I know it is hard to believe that the experience wasn't the best, but it wasn't.
