Guest guest
Cheryle there is certainly room for hope and a good chance that your fertility will return on its own...my story is simular to yours i was infertile for 16 yrs we went through the fertility stuff and no babies or even pregnancys. after wls, a year later i ended up pregnant woohoo surprise! unfortunaly i had a miscarriage (nov 01) that is how i found out i was pregnant i was even more surprised because we used protection. i still wanted to lose weight and stablize my weight before getting pregnant so to be safe we used better means of protection, then in aug i decided i was ready and well being 35 i didnt want to wait any long not to mention i was gonna have a revision on my tummy tuck and felt it would be benificial to get pregnant before my revision, i got pregnant on the 2nd try (2nd month) in sept. so with that said, this is why i say there is hope..i beleive this surgery has helped many women conceive after infertility, extra weight can halt our fertility and when we lose the weight it returns at some point, not always but i beleive for the most part unless there is something else wrong. give it a try if you are ready, if it dosnt work after a year then go see a specialist again, maybe even just a small jump start will help. good luck to you...deanna > I am new to posting on this board. i have a question for anyone who > might have some input. i am 32yrs old and 4 yrs ago went through all > types of infertility treaments , medications, laprascopy, iui, etc.. > well i was diagnosed with stage II endo and it was cleaned up with > the lap but still after that did not get pregnant. i was always > regular -af every 28 days so i was confused. the dr ended things with > me when i couldnt afford the medications anymore and told me to lose > at least 100 lbs and try again. so actually since then i had wls > and so far have lost 120 pounds and have around 30 more to go and was > thinking on starting to ttc again when i hit 18 mos postop.. so my > question actually is does anyone think that since the surgery and the > weight loss ttc will be any easier or is it still a lost cause and i > will still need medications? any opinions i would appreciate. > thank you so much i really appreciate any insight i can get from any > of you.... > cheryl K
