I forgot to add that when I got my insulin pump this past August the nurse

practioner said that the fingers supposedly have a more accurate reading than

the forearm. But, the numbers for me when tested on both the forearm and finger

just a few seconds apart were only a couple of points different. For me that

does not justify the pain and slow healing of the fingers.

, I should have known you would know about Forteo! I don't

have any fat either...and both suggested sites are already so

painful I didn't want to think about sticking needles in either.

Maybe the ultra-fine pen needles will not irritate the tissue the

way glucose needles mess up my fingertips. I haven't had a demo of

injection yet, just supposed to read the material and look over the

kit. Is it very expensive? Seems like it could be, given all the

supplies they sent home.
