Guest guest
Hi, NO we are not automatically high risk at all. We are pobably in better shape than before. I know I am. I saw high risk docs for my previous children but not this time. The main part about being prego after GBS is to make sure you can eat enough good things for you and the baby and drink plenty of fluids. The vitamins are the docs idea, We still do not absorb like before and never will so we do need hte extra vitamins for life and the added prenatal is for the baby and breastfeeding moms. I wish you the best of luck with everything. HUGS, ROBIN, NY Age- 41 Due Date- #4 July 27th, 2004 OPEN RNY 10-18-02 378/246/170??? Guest guest
I only take 1 prenatal pill, 1 B12 pill., 1 Calcium Caltrate (that I just started) My doctor said that too much iron and something else could sit in your liver and kidneys and make you toxic. Guest guest
My nutritionist said only take 1 prenatal because much of what is in a prenatal is absorbed well and we should not have extra. She did say that I may need to take additional Iron though but not two prenatals. - Diane > I'm 8 weeks pregnant and only saw my dr once and I'm not very fond > of him (I saw the female in his office and she isn't an OB-I didn't > know that). Guest guest
Well our dr has not seen us yet...but in my opinion since we as gastric bypass people do not absord a fraction of what we used to....2 couldn't hurt...but I may be wrong.... location question and vitamin question I'm 8 weeks pregnant and only saw my dr once and I'm not very fond of him (I saw the female in his office and she isn't an OB-I didn't know that). Is there anyone from the South Jersey area here that can suggest a dr with post-op experience? Are we all automatically high-risk? One last one: why 2 prenatal vitamins? Aren't there things that can be bad if you take too much? I'm not sure if the theory, " If one is good two must be great " would apply here. Do your doctors say to take two? Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Tiana- Thank you! I will look into this calcium thing! I can not drink any milk right now. I gag thinking about it! It is hard to find it. I do eat a piece of cheese couple of times a day. Tricia
