The other reason to start one chelator at a time, is so you know how you react to each one individually, so you know what is causing what. Some people tolerate different chelators differently.-- It's been over three years so I expect my body burden to have diminished somewhat. The distinction between ALA and true chelators is murky. ALA both crosses the BBB and complexes with mercury, clearly in a different fashion that DMPS and DMSA because it excretes via a different pathway (liver/bile). It sounds a bit risky to use ALA without DMPS or DMSA because then there is not other " help " available to get the Hg out of the body. Its all up to the liver. Not sure mine is up to the job. > > > > > Thanks for your detailed answers. Doug > >

HC supplementation worked pretty well for me. ----------Yes I'm on HC also, and have been for almost a year, but trying the ACE, to see if I can lower my dose of HC, and possibly wean off of it at some point, because I have high blood sugar issues now. So for whatever reason I now tolerate the ACE after being on HC, so just thought I'd mention it. Have you ever tried licorice or ginseng or something like that?---------Jackie > > > > > > --------See chart on page 207 of AI, we just discussed this. Wonder if Andy has any plans to published a revised edition? -----------There has been discussion about that, but my understanding is that he is very busy and is working on a kid's book first, so a revision to AI will have to wait.-------Jackie > > > > > Most > people start with chelator alone first to limit blood HG released from > body stores being transported across BBB into brain by ALA? Some people do best on ALA alone, and some have a preference to DMSA and some to DMPS, and some feel better with a combination of DMSA or DMPS with ALA. And some don't tolerate ALA even after a long time of chelating with just DMSA or DMPS. Your reasoning to use both certainly makes sense, and many do use another chelator with ALA, but just letting you know that there has been differences in what works best for different people. I guess you really won't know until you try them.---------Jackie > > > > > Thanks for your detailed answers. ---------Your welcome. ------------Jackie Doug > ,_.___ Messages in this topic (5) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic Messages MARKETPLACE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Earn your degree in as few as 2 years - Advance your career with an AS, BS, MS degree - College-Finder.net.
