Sent: Saturday, December 11, 2004 3:36 PM To: Subject: Hi everyone, I just wanted to take a minute and ask for your prayers as is not doing well today. He has a fever is dehydrated he has been on hydration since Friday night he had a nightmare and pulled the IV out so home care came in today and restarted his IV. The nurse felt he was dehydrated and his blood pressure is low. My concern is that he does not go into a vomiting episode as he has severe Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome and once he starts vomiting I have to call 911. Thank you all for your support and prayers. Guest guest
Hi Joanne, Thank you for your prayers he did finally eat a little bit of cream of rice we thought it is better to start out slowly. He is now sitting up and watching a little bit of TV though he said he still does not feel well. The hydration makes a big differance and will hopefully keep him out of the hospital. He sees Dr. Cohen next week so we will see what he says again thank you for your prayers. Guest guest
Hi Gram, is doing a little better today although he still does not look like he is a whole lot better. If it was not for the hydration at home he would have for sure been in the hospital. He is starting to eat a little more which is a good sign he just looks so wiped out. Thank you for your concern I really appreciate it I have a 24 hour emergency supply of hydration and we will be using it as most of the other bag was wasted due to the IV coming out and we will see Dr. Cohen next week. Guest guest
Myalgia simply means muscle pain and myositis means inflammation of muscle tissue. Myalgia would generally be considered a symptom, not a diagnosis. My edition of Taber's Dictionary lists 9 different types of myositis, depending on etiology (cause). In order to submit insurance claims, a doctor must supply an ICD code that indicates reason for testing. This particular code could be used for a patient with muscle pain but no specific diagnosis yet. Barbara _____ From: amerikooch@... I had testing done in 2003 and don't know how I over looked this but it was for lactic acid/ lactate [sqlACT] and under the Associated diagnoses it says diagnosis Myalgia and Myositis Nos [729.1] ICD code.
