I think you're just going to have to see how big his feet are when

he's nearly corrected. Markell has size 0000, you can print off

their shoe chart and see at that time if Aidan's feet are big enough

for those shoes. The shoes are actually custom-made

prototypes at this time. I don't know at what point insurance would

consider them " production orthopaedic devices " that would be covered

by their policies. Mr. hand crafts each pair for each baby

right now.

Prior to Markell coming out with the 0000 size, there was at least

one doctor (Dr. Brown in New Mexico) who actually used tiny tennis

shoes glued to a piece of wood and then screwed that to the bar. We

have pictures of this in the files section in the bracing folder I

believe. I think it's called " DBB w/ Tennis shoes " or something

similar.

This is just another form of " custom shoes " I guess.
