Hi ,

Glad it is going well [nice addy too, :)] Being more " emotional "

sounds like a sign of being more aware of things. It should level off

in a couple weeks. It took me a good month, but I am an old dog,

haha. We really didn't see THAT in Younger Son but he is quieter

anyway. Older Son took a few weeks too. It feels good (as in lack of

discomfort and pain) but is it still weird being so much more in

tune. Think of it as being IN Disneyland as opposed to looking at a

postcard of Disneyland. It is good and fun but still you have sensory

information coming in from all directions to process. If it continues

past three weeks, please post again on it. It could be some

additional withdrawal thrown in there as well.

I put enzymes in drink for me but the boys prefer just to swallow the

capsules. Complete from Kirkmans comes in powder and capsules. If it

is not listed on the site in both forms, just call and ask. However,

there are some reasons most all enzymes come in capsules.

1. pre-dosed, although really enzymes do not have to be exactly dosed

because you don't eat the exact type and quantity food each time.

Also, most enzymes have a little more activity in the capsule that is

on the label because the label HAS to indicated AT LEAST that amount

so most supplements end up with slightly more of the product in a

capsule to make sure they meet the minimum. Peptizyde tested out to

have at 50% more peptidase activity at one point. That is like having

another half capsule of activity in there.

2. Taste - the Peptizyde and Complete (and other papain containing

products) tend to taste....unique, shall we say. Really not good at

all although some people don't mind, especially if you swallow it

fast and chase them with food or drink. This is why my boys want the

capsules.

3. Enzyme powder floating around - Breathing the enzyme " dust " can

get in your nose and other parts and irritate the lining, just as it

does if you let the proteases sit in your mouth. So this is a general

safe guard of having them in capsules, to keep the amount of dust

down.

4. Moisture - enzymes are activated by moisture and this is why you

don't keep them in the fridge. Opening and closing the lid lets

moisture in and out of the bottle and the enzymes are exposed to the

moisture and activated. Keeping them in the airtight capsules until

use protects them. You may use the powder fast enough so this doesn't

become a huge deal, but this is why most are packaged this way and

you don't see people selling liquid enzymes.
