Guest guest
Beverly, I was in the same boat as you! No one believe I was pregnant until he came out! Honestly, I was trying to convince people of it at 9 MONTHS! I had 8 ultra sounds because I was measuring small. He was 5 lbs 15 oz at birth (37 weeks) and he is as healthy as can be at 5 months and almost 20 lbs! You will be fine. Just eat healthy and go to your check ups! hugs of support, Josie

Guest guest
Ya know I always thought that a tiny person would show 1-2-3, but you are right that isn't always the case. My friend who is 5 foot and about 102lbs NEVER looks preg to 7 or 8 months. Even then she nevr gets that big. Also, all 4 of her babies were over 8lbs..go figure. Guest guest
A friend of mine at work never really had maternity clothes just wore clothes that were a little baggier. We really could not tell she was pregnant until 7 months and still it was not too much - if she was sitting down it just looked like the shirt but you could tell when she was standing from the side. Her water broke at 8 months and they did an emergency c-section. The baby weighed 6.5 lbs! Where she was keeping it at the time is everybodys guess. The doctor told her had she carried it to term it probabally would have been close to 9 lbs! I'm just telling you this to say each persons body showes differently and your baby may be much bigger than you think. She is an average sized woman about 5'5 " 135- 145 lbs before pregnancy. In my opinion most taller people show less than the shorties - there is just more room in most for the baby to fit. Trust your doctor and his opinion - I'm sure your baby is just perfect. - Diane > Okay, I know I had spent much of my life being huge and it's been > quite an adjustment for me to get used to my new body. Guest guest
Okay, I am wanting everyone's opinion on this because I am trying not to be an over protective parent. Our oldest son Justen was here for the weekend, which I must say went VERY well. Anyway, he happened to mention to my nephew that the one thing that he likes better about the group home is that they let him watch R rated movies. I asked him exactly what movies he was talking about and he told us all about the movies Scary movie three and also one called Bad Santa. Now I have not seen these movies but what he described along with what some friends of mine told me was some pretty sick stuff for a 15 year old kid with serious emotional delays to be seeing. Also, he is supposed to take 11/2 mgs of risperdol at night. When they first had him start he was taking a 1 mg tablet and then they cut a second one in half. Last Monday when I took him to the med DR he changed it to a 3mg tablet so they just have to cut one pill in half and that is it. When I tried to give him his meds Sat night he argued with me for about an hour that I wasn't giving him enough and that he needed a whole one with the half one. I read the bottle and it said just what the DR had told me. SOOO I called the group home and the man that answered said that he doesn't know about the meds but that he will put a note on Justen's chart that he can't watch R rated movies. I told him that I had counted the pills and he is six short so YES the HAD been over medicating him. Also I told him that seeing how my son is 15 years old I am pretty sure that it is against the law for them to let him watch nasty movies without having parental consent which I told him they shouldn't bother asking for in the future because they wouldn't get it. Do you guys think I am over reacting? I know that I have been very emotional lately and wonder if I am making a bigger deal of this than it is. a
