Hi guys,

sorry I haven't posted in a while. Dave is in the hospital right now. he had

2 CAT scans over a month period and pneumonia in the beginning of Sept. They

found some growth on the left lung since the last scan. so they admitted Dave

on Monday and now waiting for results, they are treating it as TB but the

Doctor thinks it's chronic Aspiration over a long period of time. Dave might

need

the feeding tube again. his swallowing study he failed. So now thickener in

liquids to consistency of honey. Oh, how much more does he have to suffer with

this terrible undiagnosed disease? I'm scared of losing him and then of top of

it not knowing when he dies. I know it sounds horrible. we celebrate 7 years

of marriage this month and now I'm not sure if there will be an 8. If any of

you would like to call Dave let me know and I'll pass on his hospital phone

number, he feels so alone with this disease and could use some comfort knowing

he's not alone. And I know I'm not alone as a caregiver so any suggestions of

coping would be appreciated.

Kim,

Hi! How are you doing? How is Dave? Is he out of the hospital?

Did they decide if it was TB or aspiration? I am sorry that I have no

answers for you, but want to let you know that I am here for both of you.

You are in my thoughts.

Hugs,

a,

He's still in the hospital. they feel it's aspiration and want to do a

feeding tube before they release him. It's depressing not knowing how much

longer he

has to live he has even stated he's just fighting to stay alive. I'll keep

you posted.
