Guest guest
Tommy is still in his infant seat that snaps into the base in the car then right into the stroller. He is getting the shoes and DBB on Friday. Will he fit in this seat with the bar on? He is 17 pounds so should I just switch to a regular rear facing car seat before we go? Keep in mind we have a 5 hour drive home from Dr. Herzenberg's office. Tommy Lee 4/23/
Guest guest
, Christian is 17 lbs. and we don't have a problem with the infant seat yet. He is very comfy in it. I don't think you'll need to change it right now. Guest guest
is about the same size and he fits fine in the carrier with the bar on. We are having troubles because we have the cover on the seat so that we don't have to have a coat on him. His bar does not fit well with the cover now. giannasmommy2002 nannylulu@...> wrote: Tommy is still in his infant seat that snaps into the base in the car then right into the stroller. Guest guest
Hi , fit into hers no problem. She is now in the convertible size carseat (still backwards facing because of her weight) and her feet touch the back of the seat but she doesn't seem to have a problem with it. We didn't switch her until 11 months. She got too tall for her infant seat. Guest guest
Most infant seats have a length limit, that often comes before the weight limit. So check that, a lot of them are 26 " . So if you have a baby that's anywhere near 26 " and you add the shoes and bar... well there's a significant risk of the legs being injured in an accident. More so with the infant carrier seats as none of them are rear facing tetherable and very floppy in general. And many of the rear facing convertible seats aren't tetherable in the rear facing position either. But if you've got a rear facing tetherable convertible seat you can cinch it down really reclined and pull the feet away from the back of the car's seat. Darbi is still rear facing at 19mo even with her FAB (Markell). It's almost time to switch her, but she's still safe that way. We have Britax Roundabouts. LOVE Britax!!! It's painful to imagine carrying around a 17 pound baby PLUS the FAB in an infant carrier very long. Oh my that would be heavy! Guest guest
Hi , Congrats on getting to the DBB stage! I remember when Zoe was still in the infant carrier. I didn't realize that there was also a height limit on those, not just a weight limit (20 lbs). Since Zoe is very tall for her age, she was not able to stay in the infant carrier very long or the regular carseat which also has a height limit. It should say on the side of the carrier what the height restriction is. I can't remember now. I was very surprised. I have seen babies in those carriers who are way too big. But they're so convenient! Hope this helps! Joanne W. Guest guest
It's hard to say since car seats can vary so much from each other. You may want to be prepared by taking the other one with you. s. Infant carrier and DBB Tommy is still in his infant seat that snaps into the base in the car then right into the stroller. Guest guest
Our little girl is 18 pounds (3 and a half months) and fits into her infant carrier (also snaps into secured base) just fine. > Tommy is still in his infant seat that snaps into the base in the car > then right into the stroller.
