Guest guest
Hi , I am so glad you joined this group. I have been thinking about you since we spoke. Have you e-mailed Dr. Ponseti? Last time we spoke I think I told you about how Tommy was slipping out of the shoes just like he had with the casts. Well Dr. Ponseti told us to change to outward rotation to 50 degrees and it seems to be helping a bit. I really think you should email him and send him some pictures and a link to that wonderful sight. I feel as though he is very happy to help those of us with these atypical and complex feet. Our kids are the ones who may be having surgery unnecessarily due to the complexity of the feet. Like I said last time when you asked me when do you just give in and do the surgery my response reamins not until Dr. Ponseti himself says so. We go to Dr. Herzenberg and Dr. Ponseti has said repeatedly that we are in very good hands but if Dr. H said surgery I would still consult with Dr. Ponseti first. These tough atypical feet require so much more. Dr. Herzenberg is one of the best but it was Dr. Ponseti who said Tommy's feet should be at 50 degrees not the standard 70 degrees. These atypical feet more than the others need treatment on a case by case basis. Call me if you need to talk.
