I have read that low water consumption can cause both dizziness and

migranes. I'm not sure how you are on your water but try to

increase it if you are not getting in enough.

I'm someone to be telling you this since I'm having nausea all day

along with dizziness and I know it's the lack of water consumption

for me.

I sure hope that water is all it takes to make you feel better!

About the other symptoms you're having I just don't know.

Best wishes,

:)

That used to happen to me -- the dizziness.. my blood sugar was plummeting

and I needed to get something in me so I would have a glass of milk or some

cheese or whatever else was around to get me going. After I ate or drank

something, the dizziness would go away.

Definitely talk to your dr. right away. This could be dangerous for you, what

if you were driving?

Try and keep a snack handy wherever you are. Crackers, cookies or anything that

will keep your blood sugar up. It sounds like you're going too long without

eating. You could be hypoglycemic.

Also keep up with your fluids. If you don't get enough it can cause headaches,

but severe headaches as the ones you describe could be something worse like

Toxemia.

Definitely talk to your OB doc. right away!

How is your blood pressure? The reason I ask is because with my first

pregnancy, I kept headaches and was often dizzy as a result of high bp. I had

pre-eclampsia (toxemia). I would check with your OB, whatever the cause, this

doesn't sound like something that should go unchecked. Good luck!

My son had this for years and still at times. I have had it only a couple of

times. My son was told it might be a migraine equivalent, partial complex

seizure or autonomic. Since he has all, they never did decide which it was.

Mine was when I was crashy, so I think that was the trigger for me.

I hope it doesn't happen too often.

Hi Laurie,

Thanks for your reply. I have wondered if it is related to

migraine...although I don't have a " typical " migrane problem, when I get

fatigued I do get a lot of pressure building in my head. I went to a

neurologist a few years ago and he was pretty useless. I had dizziness then,

but it is not " typical " . He didn't do any tests, only an exam. I have been

wondering if I should try to go to another neurologist. I would like to at

least get an MRI.

The dizziness also seems to correlate with my feeling worse than usual.

Interesting. I wonder how mito can cause equilibrium problems? (BTW, I have

complex I defect). I have more muscle pain and weakness than usual at present,

and also the dizziness. Thanks

Lea

I also have a complex I defect, so it is assumed that my son has it as well.

He was the most symptomatic in the family when young, but has improved

gradually. He has had a horrible time with migraines since a toddler (or

before) and had confirmed partial complex seizures which seem to have gone

away. The room spinning and tilting is not the usual dizziness from what I

have been told. My son would close his and hang on until it passed. If it

persisted, he would crawl in bed and cover his head, just as he did with a

migraine. Our lab would then stand watch over him.

lea, I have had intermittant problems with room spinning dizziness for

about 6 years. I have been tested for iner ear problems and they don't

think it's from that, but meanwhile it just keeps happening- very

disconcerting.I have just accepted it as part and parcel of whatever

disorder I do have, As soon as it starts, i lie down and close my eyes

until it passes if i can. Celia
