Guest guest
Thanks Donna for the advice. Unfortunately I am allergic to Ibuprophen and tylenol hasn't even touched the pain that I am in! I called my Dr.'s office and I will see if they do or recommend anything. I know because of the gastric bypass I cannot take naproxen either....so what does that leave? Chrystal, Definately sounds like sciatica to me. I have had it for years and am a nurse. You should call your OB. Ibuprofen worked well for me, and during my first pregnancy I was told I could take it up to 20 weeks, however that was 5 years ago! I am not sure if they are recommending ibuprofen at all now a days. If not, I am sure your OB can recommend something to help. I can empathize...it really hurts!!! Good Luck! Guest guest
Chrystal, Maybe see if some Lidocane patches can help? My pain management doc has prescribed this for me for the arthritis in my spine. It does help some, takes away the pain enough to make it tolerable, I just end up feeling pressure. The nice thing about these is that the lidocane never enters your system so nothing can possibly get to the baby, and you can wear one on the area your having pain for up to 12 hours, 3 patches at a time if needed. I hope you get some relief soon. Axelrod Donna -Massive Pain In The Butt!!! Thanks Donna for the advice.
