Guest guest
Hi All, Well I've been trying to grin and bear it...but for the last week I have a massive pain in my butt! It's actually only one side. My left side. It hurts in my bone in down deep in the middle of my left butt cheek...underneath it. I can't hardly lift my left leg with out shooting pain and now have to sleep with a really firm pillow between my legs and change positions frequently. It hurts to bend and it hurts to sit... I had sciatica attacks in high school and college but its been so long I can't remember if this is what it feels like. Any ideas? Again its only on my left side. The right is great and pain free. Guest guest
sounds like what my OB told me was sciatica from where the baby lays on the nerves running down the legs and that is was usually more common on one side than the other. I'd be sure to let them know about it of course. Sheila

Guest guest
Chrystal, Definately sounds like sciatica to me. I have had it for years and am a nurse. You should call your OB. Ibuprofen worked well for me, and during my first pregnancy I was told I could take it up to 20 weeks, however that was 5 years ago! I am not sure if they are recommending ibuprofen at all now a days. If not, I am sure your OB can recommend something to help. I can empathize...it really hurts!!! Good Luck! Guest guest
I have this really bad on the right side. Sometimes it is in my lower back on right side and goes down to the butt. And if I move quickly while sitting it goes down the leg. I told the Dr about it and he said it is how the babies are laying and there is nothing that can be done except Tylenol. Good luck. I know that I have been brought to tears a couple of times. Tricia Proud mommy to 02/13/01 Twins 1 Boy/2nd Unk EDD 08/26/
