Guest guest
Your message cracked me up! My two country aunts chastised me for taking baths because they said the water could " get up there " and cause infection. (I had researched baths right after getting PG and already knew they were fine as long as they weren't too hot.) My job requires A LOT of walking around through the office and back into the warehouse/factory area, and sometimes you have to walk fast, depending on the urgency of the situation. I get told daily " slow down, momma, don't shake that baby up! " I've been asked by three separate strangers whether there was " only one baby in there " because I was " so big " (I have gained a total of 1 pound since being pregnant and can still wear some of my non-maternity blouses I wore before I got PG.) My mom and I were laughing the other day as she recounted people telling her back in the 50's about reaching causing the cord to wrap around the baby's neck. I can't believe people still think that's true. I guess my one consolation is that no one (at least no one I didn't WANT to) has tried to come up and touch my belly. I had been told by people that it would happen. Maybe I just look too mean and people are afraid I'll snap 'em in half. After all I am a bath- taking, fast-walking, huge-bellied preggo, right?? LOL! Guest guest
I work at a police dept so I am really the only girl in there for 12 hours. I hear that all the time about popping out and why did I lose all the weight just to go and get pg and then really " screw up " by having twins.\!! I could not believe that people think I " screwed up " by having twins!!!! I just went home and cried! Tricia
