Guest guest
I'm a WAHM. I definately don't Stay at home and I work a lot so I'm a Work at home mom. I do have a home business, I'm a Creative Memories Consultant. As far as working with CF. The hardest part was the first few weeks with Casting. We traveled to Iowa from Ohio once a week for four weeks. My DH went too. We would go on Sunday, have the appt. on Monday am and return in the afternoon on Monday. So DH only took four or so days off work. We flew Angel Flights. Alaya was only 5 weeks old when we were done traveling so you could conceivably go back to work after a normal maternity leave. The 23 hours a day in the brace wouldn't be too bad for a day care provider either, you would just put it on in the am and take it off for an hour in the evening. The nights and nap time would be a little harder, although my whole family including Alaya's aunts, uncles, grandparents and babysitters know how to put it on so we have never had a problem. Before you know it cf will just be a distant memory. So sure you can work, but I love being at home. I worked for the first 10 months of my first son's life. If I had to do it over again I would have quit sooner. I feel that I missed out on a lot.
