Guest guest
And yet another happy customer! I'm so glad it's going well for you! On Tuesday evenings there is a volunteer at the RMD house named Jim - older, uncle/grandfather type of fellow, always had a mustache/goatee ?.....very happy and friendly...... Try to look him up and he can help you find a few things to pass the time between visits. Tell him ee told you to ask! He's an old friend of ours who we only get to see is on trips to see Dr. Ponseti. s. Just wanted to say hello to everyone! We are still in Iowa and doing great! had her appointment with Dr.P on friday and what an amazing man! Now I understand what everyone says about him. He is so nice and patient! He expained everything in detail to us about her feet. We did find out that she does not have atypical club feet. He told us she was very normal and he feet will be easy to correct. She will need 3 sets of casts and maybe a heelcord release on the left foot which we have always known that that foot was a little worse. He mainly spoke to us in spanish which we did not mind. is having trouble adjusting to the casts. for the past 2 nights she has had trouble sleeping because she is the type that sleeps all over the bed. Hopefully she will adjust soon! Dr. Ponseti also told us that he believes her feet have never been corrected dispite all the casting she has had. He thinks maybe that is why she is still not walking and why she never could tolerate to have her DBB shoes on. Her first set of casts will come off on Wed. and they will get an imprint of her feet to get some mitchell shoes made for her, then she will get her 2nd casts done, and finally her third on the 27th. So we will be here till then. We are staying at the RMH and it is wonderful! Everyone is so nice! The road was long(almost 16hrs!!) but we got here safe. We also got the last room here at the RMH, it is full. The weather has been nice and cold of course but no snow or ice, yet. Just wanted to say thank you to all of you who encouraged me to come and i am so grateful that this group was created because without it i would not have found Dr. Ponseti. He also told me that if I had not brought her my daughter would never have been able to walk correctly. So if any of you are debating about coming take everyones advice and make the trip because i assure you will not regret it! Thank you all and sorry for talking so much, Im just so happy that my daughter is on her way to perfect little feet!! and BL CF 12/16/
