Guest guest
Hi, My name is Cathy and I just found this list. I am 10 months post-op; -150#, and 18 weeks pregnant. I have lost a total of 15# so far since getting pregnant. I eat all the time and I am hoping it is all the right things. I am able to tolerate most everything. Is is ok to continue my regular vitamins as well as take the prenatal? I am concerned about high doses of vitamin A in the regular ones. Also, since I am new to the list, what are the alternatives to the normal glucose test? I was borderline diabetic before surgery, but normal now. I just heard the heartbeat a few weeks ago and am already madly in love with this baby. I also have an 11 year old girl, and an 8 year old boy. I didn't have a weight problem until after my son was born, then I put on a whopping 100 pounds, and wasn't able to conceive. This surgery has been a tremendous blessing. We were not trying to get pregnant so soon after surgery. When you can't get pregnant for 8 years you feel pretty safe. But it happened and I cinsider it a blessing and I wish all those out there trying...keep trying. Enjoy the process and good luck!
