Guest guest
Oh and Does > anyone know what it means when the doc said the babies were in a > floating station???? > > Angie It means that they are not engaged into the pelvis....they are still up high in your uterus and ont deep into your pelvis. that's a good thing. and good luck to you...I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with preterm labor... Guest guest
I had twins 7 yrs ago and I only made it past my shower date by 3 days. I was almost 35 weeks when they were delivered by c-section. I guess my doctor didn't believe in stopping labor. My best advice is get off your feet as much as possible. Floating means they aren't into the pelvis. My twins were both breech but that didn't stop my cervix from opening. I was also 2cm when they were born. I hope you make it a few more weeks. One more day inside you is one more day they stay out of the nicu. Sit down, light some candles, rub that baby belly and RELAX!!!! Take it easy and Good Luck Mama to-be > Well ladies I am wondering if I am gonna be able to carry these babies much > longer.... Last friday I went to doc for ck up and was 1 cent. 30% effaced. > Well today I had been having contractions and they began to feel harder and more > uncomfortable so I went in to doc and NOW I am 2 cent dialated and on meds to > stop the contractions which I might add hasn't...... My doc said if I was > still having contractions tomorrow to come back.... So I am now wondering if I am > gonna make my babyshower tomorrow night.... I am in my 29th week now. Guest guest
Just a short note to thanks everyone for the prayers & advise. I did However just get home from the hospital from a 4 day stay stopping preterm labor. I really feel like a human pin cushin...The contractions have been stopped due to the meds. I MUST take them every 3 hrs even thru the night and be on complete bed rest or they babies will come..... I need to try to stay pregnant at least another 3 weeks no less. They look really healthy as far as the babies go. I was extremely lower in potassium and had to have it put thru my IV.... But it is back to normal now. They gave me steroids to mature the babies lungs so just in case they do decide to come regardleass of meds the babies will have better chance of problems with immature lungs! So in a nutshell thats been my week! But I am home and MUCHHHHH better now Angie In NC
