My BP was always normal before pregnancy (120's/80's) and since

having the WLS, my BP was 90's/40's. I had a spinal with my c-section

and the meds I got did lower my BP despite the 2000cc fluid bolus

they gave prior to the spinal.

Don't worry, they have meds to give you that will regulate your

hemodynamic status. Of course, be certain to mention it to your OB &

your anesthesia person when they come in and do your history that

morning.

Best Wishes!

:)

I never thought of that. I also will be having a C-Section, and my blood

pressure has ran very, very low since my Breast reduction. Last week on Monday

it was 78 over 52, then Thurs it was 117/78. But then Tues of this week it was

56 over 40. I am always very dizzy and they said that I should not drive. They

don't know what is doing this. But God, I never thought about the epidural

lowering it more. Hope it will be one of the good days!

I also have very low bp. It was fine during my planned c-section with a

spinal for anaethetic.

I am almost 30 weeks and scheduled for a C-section on April 6, unless

this baby decides to come sooner. Which is very possible since she

is planted firmly on my cervix and has been since late December. I

too had normal blood pressure, until I got pregnant. Now I average a

blood pressure of 90/60. My doctor says that it is fine, that low

blood pressure does't hurt anything or affect delivery unless it is

REALLY low. She is always recommending that if I am out shopping,

running errands, whatever, and I feel funny to use one of the free

blood pressure machines at pharmacies and check my blood pressure, to

see if it is getting too low. This has been the best advice, one

night I chekced it when I could hardly move, I was 74/45. So I took

her other advice and went home to rest. Sure enough within an hour I

felt better and my blood pressure came back up on its own ( bak to

the 90/60 range).

As for gaining 15 pounds, look at it this way. By this point you

should have gained about 20-25 pounds which would all be baby and

other pregnancy related causes. So really you have lost about 10

pounds. I have to admit I do worry too and I have only gained 1

pound thus far. But gaining can be scary. So just remember really

you are losing weight not gaining.
