Guest guest
Hi! used to sweat terribly, but now that we know he goes hypo-g very easily and quickly, and we have his sugar under control, the sweating is almost gone. Probably still more than most kids, but hardly at all for him. Sweating can be a sign of hypo-g, or low blood sugar. Guest guest
Madonna That, to my understanding, is a sign of hypoglycemia, which is also attributed to those mood swings I just talked about in my last email. Demand that your doctor look into it. I didn't know the difference with Adam (didn't know what hypo-g was even!!!) and I regret it to this day. If you want more info, let me know. Debby sweating > I was also wondering how many of the children have constant (or too > much) sweating. Has any doctors ever addressed this if so what did > they say? > Madonna > > > > >
Guest guest
Gemma sweats a ton! I know some kids are just more sweaty than others within a normal range, but given our other concerns we raised the sweating issue with our doc. I'm curious to find out if Gemma is hypoglycemic. She needs to eat about every two hours and if she gets overly hungry, she gets really manic...almost like a wild animal whose been deprived of food. That compiled with the sweating has us intrigued. She goes in April for a pituitary gland stimulation study, which is a fasting study (that should be fun..not!) and we'll also do a fasting blood test too to see if she's hypoglycemic. Guest guest
Hi, I learned from members in our organization for short statured peple, that people with acondroplacia sweats a lot. Maybe that is an issue for a short statured person ????? /// Helén
