Guest guest
Hi and all, I'm so busy with my work and Veeti nowadays that I hardly have any time or energy to be active in the clubfoot field, although I know I should as there is still SO much to do in Finland despite all the good news lately. I recently received a letter from Dr. Ponseti, in which he said he would like to see photos of Veeti's feet, and also told me he would have another Finnish doctor to train with him and thanked me for spreading the word about his method. I was so surprised and pleased to hear from him personally and asking all the questions about Veeti. It is so amazing that we are still on his mind. He really genuinely cares about our little ones!! And it always touches so deep when he once again demonstrates it. , thank you for letting me know about your discussion with the Finnish doctor, I was really happy to know that! Let's hope she will adopt the Ponseti method properly and not moderate it as the first Finnish Ponseti-trained doctor does. I wonder if moderating is something they all (newly trained " Ponseti-doctors " ) first do... I'm embarassed to say that I haven't e-mailed to Dr. Ponseti about our doctor wanting to decrease the abduction angle in the FAB last May (we just didn't decrease it:). I'm about to e-mail him soon and I will then keep you posted on what he says about our little guys feet and the changes in the angle. Sanna & Veeti (05/06/02), left clubfoot, FAB 12hrs, treated by Dr. Ponseti in March 03 after unsuccesful casting in Finland. PS.
