Deseret News SLC, Utah re: Clubfoot/Ponseti method press kit

We had tried to get information on the Ponseti method into the local

Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper, but without success. A small

local Nevada newspaper did a front page story on our son

and the Ponseti method in about 2001. That story is not

accessible on the internet.

Then in coordination with a Ponseti parent named from Salt Lake

City, we talked to the Salt Lake City Deseret News about doing a

story on the Ponseti method.

The health news reporter knew Dr. Steve Santora at the SLC Shriners

Hospital who had been using the Ponseti method for at least a year

and talked to him about the story. She ended up doing a front page

article on Sept 6, 2002.

One month later, I met one of the pediatric orthopedists from the

other major hospital group in Salt Lake City at the U of Iowa where

he was receiving hands on training in the Ponseti method.
