Guest guest
Did they ever say why they did not want to use anything else? Dr. Cohen actually prescribed the Periactin for both of my girls. He said it is used very commonly with mito kids because migraines are so common. Also he said he even uses it with some mito kids who do not even have migraines, because it is an appetite stimulant. Maybe you can ask Dr. Whiteman about it. There may be some reason due to Asthenas brain involvement why they don't want her on it, but it really works on preventing the migraines. I don't know if it would or not but it's worth the try to ask.
