Guest guest
I guess I should have elaborated more on my ssi exp.... When we first applied for it for , it really wasn't to get the money, but in the state of Florida you can olny get medicaid, which is what we wanted, if you qualify for SSI. Since we had just moved into the state neither myself or 's dad had a job, so we were automatically approved when we applied for . Unfortunately, I didn't realize that it was based on income and that we had to send in copies of paystubs once we started working. So once the state knew that we were working they stopped the SSI and then said we had to repay for that past year. I think the amount is around 13,000. It's one of those bills that I just add to my circular file. they said that if we didn't pay it back now that it would affect 's SSI in the future, when he is working. Reading that letter was actually ironicly funny, since will never have the capability to earn an income and if we are lucky enough to still have him with us at the age of 18, then we'll just have to go a year without an ssi payment for him. The government is so ridiculous. I am done rambling for now.... Mama to http://www.geocities.com/Childs
Guest guest
, Thanks for clarifying the SSI issue. It makes more sense to me now. I know exactly how you feel about when you say: >> will never have the capability to earn an income and if we are lucky enough to still have him with us at the age of 18...<< I hope you're lucky enough to have to go that year without an SSI payment.
