What a week! Today we took our 7 year old to ER because she really seemed to go downhill with her virus. She had a very rough night, had dark circles under her eyes, very rough sounding lungs, and seemed totally lethargic so we RELUCTANTLY took her to the ER to see if she needed some antibiotics. The doctors agreed with the lung sounds and ordered an x-ray which revealed hyper-extended lungs. If anyone has info on what that means let me know. Anyway, after getting IV fluids in her she looked somewhat better and was more perky so they sent us home. Within a short time she became worse again and the circles darkened again. Then, when looking at some photos with the kids I saw something I hadn't noticed before. Every picture of Tirzah had her left eye looking inward while the other looked straight forward. I then discovered after talking with her that she was having other problems with the eye and unfortunately other things. Sometimes I regret asking these questions, you know! She said that her left eye always has a gray circle around her vision. She said the middle is fine but around is not. She said it feels like it moves a lot too. We also discovered at the doctor appointment and afterwards that she has been having chronic diarrhea for quite a while, prickly skin, and dizziness in bed. According to her it can be fun at times because it feels like she is swinging and other times she doesn't like it because it hurts her head. she also said climbing steps really tires her. we have worried about her for quite a while because she always has dark circles under her eyes and is so petite and skinny and when she was 11 months old she had a virus that resulted in total bone marrow failure. I was wondering if anyone had dealt with the eye issues in particular? It has been amazing to me how many of my children have issues that I didn't realize until recently and definitely do not want to overreact but also want to not overlook something that may need dealt with as well. I feel a little overwhelmed but know I need to deal with each child's issues rather than just ignore them. Darla Get more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com
