Guest guest
Dr. Whiteman already has plans for G-tube placement and muscle/skin biopsy. When we go to Mayo next week we will meet with the surgeon. I assume soon afterwards the g-tube will be placed. Until she is able to get enough oral food she will need this and then thereafter (if we get to that point ) we can use it for hydration purposes and meds. I am worried about the operation as the last time she had anesthesia and breathing tube she had issues for a good week following that plus her being so young, it really will be a rough recovery time. Asenath hardly moved the first couple days and then quickly healed, but I know Zipporrah is so much younger and I am sure she will be quite upset and irritable. But I see no other choice at this point. Darla Re: Returned from dance competition Darla, Wow, Way to go Luke!! What a great accomplishment He must be so happy and you all must be soooo proud! I am amazed that you are able to do this with 9 kids. How tired you must be. I am so sorry that Porrah is still having such a hard time. I would definately try removing the formula and see what happens. Are they considering a gtube? If not when will they? It is not permanent so can't they put one in and see if it helps? As always, our prayers are with you. DawnPlease contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
