Guest guest
I am sorry to hear that Gentry has had the same issues. Zipporrah is not on any meds yet because her pediatrician thought it would improve as she aged. Unfortunately it has only gotten worse and now needs dealt with. She doesn't have thrush and she doesn't have any viruses and I really don't think her ears are having problems as this has been an issue that started at birth and has just gotten worse since then. It just started as gagging, excessive air swallowing, and lurching and then after her RSV it graduated to vomiting along with the gags and excessive air swallowing. I will definitely keep you and the rest of the group updated. Thanks for your suggestions and I hope Gentry starts improving with the medications. Darla: mommy to Asenath and the gang Reflux/pain worsening Zipporrah seems to be getting worse with nursing issues. She is content and happy when not eating but when I nurse her she gets very fussy and stiff as a board. And for some reason when I nurse her on my right breast she is much worse. She really gets stiff and arches and screams and fusses through the feeding. Is there a reason for the right side eing worse than the left? I have tried nursing her with her in different positions such as a more upright football hold or even sitting on my lap facing the breast so she is totally upright and this helps some but she wtill is very fussy. It is very frustrating because I don't like to see her suffer and yet can't so anything about it. Hopefully we will do some testing when she sees Dr. Whiteman on February 11th, but that is so far away from now. Is there nothing I can do sooner for her? Going through her pediatrician would take longer because the wait for a GI doctor is about 1-1 12 months plus a week or two more for testing and return visit to the doctor again before getting meds. I know this because Kezia had reflux when she first came to live with us 2 years ago. If she gets much worse with the pain, I don't know what to do. ER probably wouldn't be able to do anything.
