Guest guest
We have used both a nebulizer (and you can use it with infants) and a flow-vent inhaler with an Aero Chamber. Flow-vent is what the pulmonologist at Mayo recommended us to use with Asenath. The kids are holding their own thus far. Asenath has been getting worse but thus far is doing decent and Porrah is pretty irritable but not really coughing yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed hoping the meds will help her avoid most of the symptoms. Darla: mommy to Asenath, Zipporrah, and the gang Re: More bad news Darla, How scary for you guys!!! I will certainly keep you in my prayers and hope that Ase and Porrah get thru this illness alright. Do you use a nebulizer with Ase? I just got one for Chlesea and notice a big difference between inhaled albuterol and the nebulizer. She has much more productive coughs. I am not sure if that is something that can be done with an infant. Also, I found a great homeopathic cough syrup called Chestal cough relief. It can be given every 2 hrs, so it does not last long, but it did work very well with Chelsea, it stopped the coughing and thinned her mucous so she could sleep. I bought this at a health food store. Again, I am not sure if it is ok for infants. But it is safe to use with other meds (which is why I got it for Chelsea). Hang in there!! e, Chelsea's mom (nonspecific mito)Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
