Guest guest
Bethany, >however, all this talk about using fast pass, or showing wish button >has me thinking. we will not be on a wish trip, however, anna >grace can not walk, so she will be in her special stroller....so we >will be using the handicap entrance for all the things she can >ride/watch. we won't need to do the fast pass thing right? Several years ago, Disney started redoing their lines to make more of them accessible to wheelchairs. People in wheelchairs are now expected to use these regular lines. This has meant much less " line skipping " than there was when we started taking Kaitlin and Emilie to Disney World when they were little. I think there are still some lines that Disney couldn't make accessible, so you can still go in a different way, but I wouldn't count on doing this a lot. That is where the Guest Assistance Card comes in. This is a paper that you can get, free of charge, at the Guest Services desk at any of the Disney parks. There are several different ones available, so you need to ask them for the one that allows you to use the Fastpass line without a Fastpass AND explain why Grace needs it. This particular Guest Assistance Card is not for people who just have mobility issues; it is for people with special circumstances, like someone who fatigues or overheats easily because of a chronic illness and would be very limited in how much they would get to do in the park if they had to wait in all the lines. You can then show it at any of the rides that have a Fastpass line, and your family can get into that line, which is usually shorter, immediately without actually getting the Fastpass (a Fastpass has a time stamped on it when you can come back to ride, kind of like a reservation). Hope this helps.
