Guest guest
Hi there!I am not familiar with the parental fee....sorry. As for the special ed =services I can only speak of those here in as I have not ever =lived anywhere else in the state. Here in we have only had one =teacher who cared enough to follow the IEP ect. She was a Godseld and =really loved her job working with the children with special needs. She =took a stand against the school when some money had been given by an =indiviaual and earmarked for books in her classroom and was spent =elsewhere. I stood with her and addressed this problem with her publicly =when the Governor was in town at a PTA meeting. The individual that gave =the $ was made aware of the problem ahead of time as was the Governor so =it was a real blast. Boy was the princial embarassed and the person =asked for there $ back so he could purchase the books himself the school =did not have the funds to return to him and the hole continued to get =deeper.Well sorry I went off there.I had to file a complaint against 's school and the school board to =get them to do right and I involved everyone I could think of from the =local level all the way to those in Washington. It was a long five year =fight but I eventually got what was needed but by then was to ill =to attend. We did get a new school bus with heat and AC that we can use =when we take her someplace with her teacher and reimbursment for all our =mileage!!!!!The teachers and staff anf school board members lied and turned things =around to try to discredit me but I kept good notes and recordings they =did not know about and used them in Washington as my ace in the hole.So as you can see schools are the pits...and as I said before I =have not lived anywhere else to say how there systems are.My oldest daughter Brittney is 18 and is graduating in May thank God! I =f I had another child in school I would home school them and not put =them in this mess.Whereever you go I pray you get very clear direction as to what you are =to do as far as school goes and the place you choose will be just =perfect and have staff that loves what they do and not just the =paycheck.I will be praying!!!!!Keep me posted. Horsley to lisa horsley alabama thank you for the reply at this point i am interested in two things 1) how is the special ed services in alabama and 2) about medical assistance in minnesota we pay a parental fee and then we can have medical assistance as a secondary insurance which entitles us to a personnel care attendant are you familiar with either of these in alabama? thank you lisa ehelePlease contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
