Just wanted to respond to a few posts.....

My prayers are with the family whose brother in law has brain damage.

Good luck and Godspeed to those about to have surgery.

Welcome to the newest members to the group.

I don't post much, mostly lurk, but care very much about how everyone is

doing.

With blessings always,

Sharie ('s mom)

<snip>also a note does anyones child have large tonsils? my non affected daughter has super huge tonsils. Ent thinks that she probably has sleep apnea since she is snoring and we have heard some gasping pausing thing.

<snip>

My non affected daughter had huge adenoids and tonsils. She was frequently sick with a "sore throat" and never ending "sinus infections" although large they would not remove them becuase she didn't snore. My Ped told me to lie to the ENT and say she snored. (It was the insurance denying actually) We did that but they would only take out her adeniods. The Ped thought it was worth a chance just having the adenoids removed and what a difference that made. She slept better (dark circles gone) and her allergies/athsma got so much better. The surgery was supposed to take a half hour but ended up being almost 2 becuase they were so large. Her tonsils took about a year but they did go back to normal size.
