Guest guest
Miranda had a port from the time she was 2 years old until just last November, when she got a Broviac, which she presently still has. She only ever had one line infection from the time she was 2 until last April. ( and that was due to a Nurse not following proper technique) We only accessed it when needed and used it maybe once a month. Since April 2003, Miranda has been on TPN and has daily infusions. Since then she has had so many infections I cannot count. ( she actually just got out of the hospital a week ago for Sepsis and we are still doing IV vancomycin to fight it) I have to say though, without the line and the TPN, Miranda would not be with us. She depends on it to live. ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
