Guest guest
Tamara; If you go to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation website and then Library ... you will find an article there by Cohen and Gold called "Mitochondrial Cytopahies in Adults: What We Know So Far" and at the end of the article there is a table containing the Mito Cocktail and its suggested doseages by weight in Kg (1 Kg = 2.2lbs). You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to bring up the file and this FREE programme is linked on the web page. I realize that this article is about adults ...... HOWEVER .... there is MUCH information in it that is common or able to be extrapolated! Your doctors may thank you for a copy! A word of caution ..... Mito is a disorder of the metabolism, which means that ANY medication should be started SLOWLY and worked up to doseage. A good idea is to record changes and doseages where the changes occurred. A second word of caution .... Ask your doctor for a recommendation for the order that you should add supplementation. It is NOT a good idea to "go alone" nor is it a good idea to start everything at once! How would you know WHICH supplement is making changes unless you add one supplenment at a time? Has anyone ever experienced anything negative on CoQ10? What all does the cocktail consist of? Does it really seem to help?
