Guest guest Posted March 31, 2004 Report Share Posted March 31, 2004 Monday night in the chat we were discussing this and my DS need for a wheelchair to attend school, so we go today for the PT evaluation, which they tell me he doesn't need a chair, he has some strength, yes he is weak but not enough. So they are going to have us come back so they can work him out and see his endurance, so they in other words are going to make my child hurt and suffer so they can document it, I explained to them that this could in fact damage him, as we have been told not to let him overdo, and they were like well if the doctor says that, that MIGHT help, OMG what can I do, I don't want them to make him suffer! There is nothing worse than seeing your child in pain and knowing you let them do it! I know the MDA will help with $2000 if the insurance refuses to pay, I ask the guy from the chair store if he could get us an used one for that (he said yes) The store people feel with the right documentation it will get approved, this all just makes me so mad.
