Guest guest
Anne, My amino acids are really messed up as well. Nothing is ever mentioned about them though. I guess it's just something you have to deal with as there isn't really any treatment for when they are off. I think there are some that you need to be more concerned about than others. Guest guest
Anne, It was a screwy amino panel that was our first confirmation that all was not well in Lily land. But the first copy of the report I got simply said that " values did not indicate any known metabolic disorder " . Our doc had told us that the report was " normal " . After getting a copy of the report and highlighting any value that was " off " , either high or low, I had a clear picture of the need for further work up. With that sheet (an Excel spread sheet) we were able to get a referral. I found a book called " Amino Acids in Therapy by Leon Chaitow " very helpful. I can't stress enough that all parents should get copies of all reports generated - no a summary.
