Guest guest Posted February 1, 2004 Report Share Posted February 1, 2004 Hello all! I just have one silly question today. Gracie is having her G tube changed into the Mic Key button on Tues. Of Course she has to make this complicated. Yesterday, and today she has a little abcess around the stoma. It does not look infected, and is not bothering her at all. She gets this pretty often, I think it is from the tube moving around so much. I am unable to tape it to keep it still, she gets extremely irritated (yes even with paper tape). Also if I keep gauze around it then tape the tube to the gauze, she tends to get infected. Do you think they will still do the surgery? I put some neosporin around it to help it shrink, this usually works. If you have any other suggestions, please help. I really want her to get this done this week.
