Guest guest
Shirley, Glad you put my name in it, I'm behind on reading all the messages and I hadn't seen this one yet. Apparently Tylenol can do some damage to Mitochondria (I can't remember specifically what, but I just remember that it does). However, I think (and hope) in short bursts it is ok because we really have to use both sometimes to get the fever down and we don't want seizures, and fevers can sometimes trigger Ben's seizures.. But, the doc wants us to primarily use Ibuprofen. Cindy Shirley wrote: Cindy, I have to ask. Why doesn't your doctors like you to use Tylenol? It there a Mito reason?? Thanks, Shirley
Guest guest
Shirley, Your question wasn't directed to me but I've been told not to take Tylenol either. It's not the best choice for mito patients. Neither is Aspirin. It's reccomended to use Motrin products.
