Guest guest
Irene, The treat SLE much the same as Sarcoid too, they thought once that I had SLE, I had a rash that was typical of it, although I thought the rash was from the Sarcoid, but I put on Plaquanil for the rash either way, turns out I don't have SLE but still on the Plaquanil, in fact I have a friend with SLE and she is being treated with Plaquanil, and my dosage for Sarc is higher. So at least they can maybe treat both at the same time. and yes it is overwhelming to think, now I have two autoimmune disease's, know you are in my prayers. blessings, Marla In a message dated 3/24/06 12:15:51 PM Pacific Standard Time, ilambert@... writes: Ducky- so it is possible I have BOTH!! That could explain the Neuro saying NS and the Rheumy saying SLE. My future is looking bleaker all the time,I think I'll go bury my head back in the sand now..... Irene, I so totally understand. It does feel so much safer when we either have no knowledge, or we have a definate diagnosis. although it's possible to have multiple auto-immune diseases--more than likely it's the sarc that's causing secondary problems to the primary sarcoid problem. Once we get the sarc under control, the other stuff will follow. What kind of treatment are you on? Have you taken a look at the LINKS and ARCHIVES-- there is alot of info that is good to take to the MD's with you. Since we are a Medical rarity (NS is a part of the list of diseases on the National Organization of Rare Disease--NORD) and so we have to educate those around us. Guest guest
Thanks, nne. What was scariest was going out in itwith the 2 dogs. Munchkin, being only about 6 lbs was to saythe very least, 'reluctant' to go out. I thought she would goairborne like a kite. It did take her awhile to pee; later unfortunatelyshe pooped in the house; she wanted no part of doing that in the windand rain.love, KateTo: mserslife Sent: Monday, August 29, 2011 9:53 AMSubject: Re: Irene Kate I am glad you got through Irene ok. I wound up going to the ER last evening. They took an x ray which showed a fracture. Right now I m in a soft cast. In about a half hour I m going to my ortho which hospital recommended I do. Keep me in your thoughts please. Unsure if they ll want to do a hard cast or not. Will update when I get back.Love to all,KateSent from my iPad KateI heard this morning the death count was up to 30 something. Tragic! Please let us know when you hear news of Bob's boat. I was listening to the national news on the radio this morning about all the trees down and the flooding. I'm so glad it didn't hit as at Cat 1 hurricane but instead as a tropical storm. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. It will take a very long time for the waters to stop rising. The Croton River and Hudson River, both relatively close to us were bursting. The Long Island Sound and LI itself got really hammered.
