We will all help you where we can so just ask questions...My daughter has been helped tremendously with enzymes. We just had her report card and ..Wonderful improvements. And this was a child the school system wanted to " write off " just a year ago. She was dx with serious ADHD two years ago and I can say quite proudly she no longer fits the ADHD description [ ] behaviors worse Hi, Its been three weeks since starting hp and zp enzymes and my son was ALOT BETTER OFF before starting the aids. I gave 1 cap each w/lunch and dinner. He has been GFCF(which he benfited greatly,less runny stools) for four years and continued the diet during new enzymes. Guest guest Posted June 15, 2002 Report Share Posted June 15, 2002 Dear , My son Mikey was GFCF for over a year but he started to get very fussy with food so I tried enzymes and he has improved even more. I am now able to give him non-GFCF food and there are no bad reactions like there were before the diet. He is still mainly GFCF but boy life is so much easier than before. He has been on 1/2 a capsule with each meal for a week and the previous two weeks had 1 capsule per meal. His stools are getting much more solid and he is a happy laughing little lad now. Did you add them one at a time? Let us know which enzyme he had problems with, and that can help us determine what might be beneficial for him. Well it might be " another scam " , altho most probably it is that your child does not tolerate one or both of these enzymes, but there are other enzymes out there that he might tolerate. Its too bad to hear that you have not seen good results with your son, but that does not mean that the enzymes are a scam. My daughter (now age 4.9) recovered from PDD-NOS after a year and a half on the GFCF Diet. She has now returned to eating normal food with enzymes - I they have been a godsend for us. She is VERY sensitive to gluten and casein and reacts terribly to an infraction with no enzymes, but with the enzymes she can eat anything! She is also has a better attention span since starting the enzymes. My advice would be to change the dosage or timing and try that. Maybe they do not work for your son, but please don't call this a scam in that so many others including myself have had such sucess with enzymes. - Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
