Guest guest
I go to cognitive theraphy every 3 months for 3 hrs at a time. and it is very frustrating. i always leave there crying . due to i can't do everything. , I can so totally understand. My long term memory is intact, but ask me about this last weekend, and I'm lost. I used to be really good at the "recall the story" games, and now I don't understand them. As far as the geometric puzzles-- that's out the door-- not a chance in hell. One of the things I've found most helpful is the "Find the Word" search puzzles, and "Tumblebees" on AOL games. It keeps my mind functioning, and I can play at a level that isn't frustrating. Hugs, Tracie

Guest guest
.. They looked like quilt blocks to me & that's how I repeated them.LOL! I'm not a seamstress at all-- I put the sleeve where the zipper went, the zipper in the sleeve hole-- and flunked the class. Oh, well. My sis is wonderful at that stuff. I hate it with a passion. It was telling them what the pattern was without instructions that I took twice the "normal" time & still didn't have them all done. For me, it was the comprehension of verbal instruction, following a recipe didn't work either, and to do the recall the story-- I blew it bad. It was what sealed my SSDI-- if ya can't think, ya can't work.

Guest guest
Tracie For me the geometric patterns were the easiest. They looked like quilt blocks to me & that's how I repeated them. Guest guest
I haven't really had the time to sew for years & now I don't have much room & not sure if I still could. Maybe I'll find a bigger apartment & drag out the old machine. I have a 6 month old great niece I'd love to sew something for. I'm not sure what part I messed up but they decided I couldn't handle my money so I have a representative payee. It's really a good thing because I didn't have much control of my impulse buying before & now everything's shot. I can't even behave in the grocery store. LOL It upset me at first but it's not a big deal now. If only my payee had to answer the bill collector's phone calls. LOL grannylunatic@... __________________________________________________

Guest guest
, what is this cognitive therapy supposed to do for you? How does the therapist react to your frustration & crying? I have to admit that I'm not familiar with this, but it doesn't sound like it's very helpful. Thanks for staying with us & hugs from Indiana.
