I do not know for sure, but Grace always seems to be sick when we are busy. Before I quit working to stay home with her, she always had a cold or something. Now with a more relaxed environment she rarely gets ill. I've always took it as a stress thing.

I don't know about this in terms of mito, but with my primary immune deficiency (before I was treated with gammaglobulin) I used to get very sick after every airplane ride. It got to the point that I wore a hospital mask during every plane trip - it worked a bit too. I don't know if it kept the germs out or kept everyone away from me, but it did help. Now that I"m on gamma, I rarely get sick from trips.

I don't know about the stress with kids with mito. I do know that Asher gets quite fatigued from travelling.
